Penal Abolition: Anthem for a more tolerant tomorrow

This film explores some of the contradictions and problems with punishment and criminal justice approaches to tackling social problems. Through interviews with Canadian activists (including the late Ruth Morris), prison advocacy workers and former prisoners, a strong case is made in favour of radical decarceration and penal abolition.

The 40 minute film, first released in 2003 and made by Lara-Lisa Condello is available via YouTube.
